Welcome to FairEntry for the 2024 Dakota County Fair!

The deadline to register for county fair exhibits is Monday, July 8 at 11:59 p.m. This is a firm deadline with consequences if missed.

Families are required to enter their own projects into the FairEntry system. ALL projects must be entered prior to the deadline: Monday, July 8 at 11:59 p.m. when the system will automatically lock and no entries will be accepted after that time.

Review the FairEntry user guides for details on using FairEntry.

The Dakota County 4-H Premium Book is your guide to the county fair. The premium book contains rules, guidelines, schedules and other important information needed to exhibit at the county fair. Review each section that pertains to your exhibits to learn more.

Important things to note:

  • Project age divisions are based on grade completed as of July 1, 2024.
  • Each exhibit and/or animal entry must be entered online using FairEntry by July 8 to avoid late registration. Late registrations can still exhibit at County Fair, however, late entries will result in no ribbon placing higher than a blue, no participation in the 4-H livestock auction, and not eligible for state trips.
  • When entering multiple exhibits in the same project area, you must register EACH different project you plan to exhibit. Exhibit limits do apply.
  • Select Club for each entry so your club shows up on exhibit cards and show programs.
  • Attach animals to each entry. Review the FairEntry user guides for details.
  • Read each section of the premium book for details on project limits. Limits vary by project and species.

Contact the 4-H Office if you have any questions or issues with registration at mnext-dakota@umn.edu or 651-480-7700.

Good luck and see you at the Dakota County Fair!
